The Mission: To help and create opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be. We will partner with the local churches to put Faith into action through service to our community.
We will commit to servicing the most vulnerable and needy people of our community all races, ethnicities and gender.
Pastor Coleman’s Vision: is to provide education of the word of God and the church Baptist doctrine to every member young and old, by teaching the whole bible. We will offer classes and seminars, on financing, parenting, health care, jobs and careers, marriage, being single as well as focusing on strong family values. This is intended to help people realize their God-given potential and gifts to operate a Godly and productive life in our community and in the world, to advance the Kingdom of GOD.
Our Faith Statement: Rescue Mission is a Christian organization; we affirm and place our trust in the central Christian belief that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord. We affirm the historic doctrines of the Christian faith as expressed in the holy bible.
We believe in God the father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended to the place of the dead. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the common bond of all believers, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Furthermore, we recognize that we are called by God to be His representatives and His presence in the world. We incorporate Christian principles and biblical standards. In both our professional and personal lives, we seek to honor God by living according to biblical standards for Christian character and moral conduct.
Our Missions: Gordon Jensen wrote a song some years ago which mentions the fact that you and I as Christians are the only “Jesus” that many people will see. No, this does not mean we are Jesus Himself of course. We know He is Jesus all by Himself, yet it should be our goal and desire to be just a bit more like Him every day by sharing what Christ is like.
We encourage you today to do your best to walk where He would walk. To talk the way He would talk, and to lend your voice to the voiceless! As a church, we desire to have an impact upon not only our community, but also the world.
Join us for a study in the word of GOD one verse at a time one chapter at a time each Wednesday night Bible Study beginning at 6:00 p.m. We are currently walking though the book of Genesis.
